Exciting news: After almost 30 years in development, I am excited to announce that StoryPlay®: A new Ericksonian indirective model for Play Therapy is ready to be launched. 

You will learn transformational healing and creative approaches that effect positive results beyond diagnosis.

The StoryPlay® three-level certification training will offer:  

Level I – StoryPlay Foundations  – Five day Training – 

Includes:

  • Training Manual for 12 modules of StoryPlay®
  • Four days of Hands-On Training
  • Certification of Completion
  • Bonus: Day 5 Training “Putting StoryPlay® into Play!”
  • Includes: All art & creative materials,
  • Each day – Continental breakfast, coffee, tea, water, snacks.

    Certificate of Completion – Foundations Level
      

Level II – StoryPlay® Practitioner – One year intensive training.

Eligibility:

  • Prerequisite: Completion of Level I – StoryPlay® Foundations.
  • Graduate degree from a relevant mental health field
  • License to practice in respective discipline
  • Additionally, participants will need to complete 30 hours of direct client work with their population using the StoryPlay® modules.
  • Proof of malpractice insurance

Benefits:

  • Deepen StoryPlay® skill level specific to their practice and population.
  • Individual coaching, consultation, supervision related to cases, practice, and setting exclusively within the StoryPlay model
  • Group feedback and support
  • Learn four new creative activities that will activate healing potentials within challenging children and adolescents. One per weekend.
  • Upon completion of Level II, clinicians will be eligible to take the Level III – towards becoming “a Certified StoryPlay® Facilitator Trainer.  

Includes:

    • Meeting 4 x/year 3 day weekend practice (CEU’s 16 hrs. each weekend)
    • Participants willpresent case studies and examples  showing how they have applied the StoryPlay® model in their practice or setting. (practical application)
    • Small Group (Up to 12)
    • Includes all materials
    • Phone support 1-2 hrs.  1 x/mo. Individual Consultation/supervision specific solely to the StoryPlay® Model.
    • Group support – through teleconference 1hr./mo.
    • Each weekend practice includes: Breakfast, breaks, coffee, tea, water, snacks.
    • Certificate of Completion – Practioner Level

Level III – StoryPlay® Facilitator Training – five days – Participants will be able to become a Certified StoryPlay® Trainer

    • Classroom Mechanics
    • Presentation Delivery
    • Running Your Practice
    • Role Playing – Demonstration of skills and competency

OPTION 2 – will include all of option 1, plus one year coaching support 1x month.

In order to receive their Certification as a StoryPlay® Facilitator Trainer, participants will need complete all requirements for Level’s I & II. Additionally they will need to demonstrate their proficiency in the StoryPlay® model and their ability to present all twelve modules using the Power Point presentation materials and training manual provided.

For those who wish small group training more than once a month, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your requests. All training is based on the philosophies and approaches developed in my books: Therapeutic Metaphors for Children and the Child Within, and Reconnecting to the Magic of Life, along with principles of Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, and philosophies of Native American teachings.
